I am a psychotherapist specializing in individual therapy.  I have offices in San Francisco and Mill Valley, CA.  I graduated with honors from Harvard University with a B.A. in Psychology, and I earned my Master's in Social Welfare from the University of California, Los Angeles.  I have nearly twenty years of experience as a counselor and therapist, working with a broad spectrum of clients.

I primarily work psychodynamically (eg., to help people increase their awareness, examine patterns of relating, explore how one's personal history impacts present functioning), but I also have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is particularly useful for treating anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, and behavioral problems, to name a few.   I am passionate about my work, and I firmly believe in the power of psychotherapy to improve people's lives.
